I recently visited The Braiding Bar for the first time and it was absolutely worth the 2-hour drive! I originally found them on social media and was really impressed with the quality of their work, so I decided to check it out in person. I got the Jazzy Braids and couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. The ladies who did my hair were so kind, professional, and helpful throughout the whole process, which made the experience even better. The pricing is also very reasonable for the quality of service and results. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend The Braiding Bar to anyone looking for beautiful, high-quality braids!

I had a great experience at Mimi’s braiding bar. This place is ran like a very well oil machine. Everyone was very kind and punctual. Abigail did my box braids and on a Sunday which you can’t find everywhere. I have not had braids in over five years just due to not being able to take off work so having that service on a Sunday was so appreciated. Also, since I was sitting there getting my hair braided, I had the pleasure of watching everybody’s else’s hairstyle and it looks like the quality out of this place is great in general no matter who you have. Will definitely be back in the future!

I’ve been getting my hair braided in shops for 27 years. I stay in braids. I’ve never run into a place that runs as smoothly as this one. There’s nowhere I’ve found where the pricing is crystal clear, the staff is warm, AND the work is impeccable. And I love the optional add-ons (additional braider, custom color blending, etc) Absolutely worth the hour drive from the city. My braiders this time were Pokes & Lydia. And I’m so grateful for how my hair turned out.

10/10 experience. Very clean and professional environment. I had Valarie who did amazing and was very fast. She did my small mid back knotless in half the time my home based braider did. Let’s just say the sun was still shining when I left and she started at 9am. Titus was very helpful in ensuring what my total would be at the end of service. Valarie made sure my length was to my approval on the first braid. Mimi texted during my service to ensure that things were going well. Now I will tell yall bring yall headphones if you don’t want to listen to them praise Jesus for the entire duration of your appointment (no shade with this at all) and be prepared to bring snacks, drinks or door dash! Last but not least, come with yall head washed and blow dried please! I mean they will do it for you if you ask. But don’t embarrass yourself coming in with the expectation that they will braid your hair dirty because THEY WILL NOT!!! Definitely will be back!
